Walleyes: Gull Lake is known for its excellent Walleye fishing. The edges of the breaks and flats of Gull hold uncountable schools of Walleye, the Minnesota state fish.

Northern Pike: Northerns are the largest fish in Gull Lake. They can be found along the edges of the cabbage flats, reed beds and drop offs.

Bluegill and Sunfish: Fishing for these panfish can fill a day with fun. These tasty fish are found both in the shallows and the deeper weed beds.

Black Crappie: There is great action fishing Crappies along the edges of the reeds.

Largemouth Bass: No trip to Gull Lake is complete without the fun of some time spent fishing for the Largemouth Bass. A very large Bass population and very little fishing pressure can make for an unbelievable outing.

Gull Lake located in Cass & Crow Wing Counties in Minnesota has a surface area of 9918 acres. Gull Lake is a reservoir with a dam located at the mouth of the Gull River. This dam helps maintain stable water levels. Gull Lake has a maximum depth of 80 feet and water clarity of 10 1/2 feet. Almost 3 million walleye fry are stocked into Gull Lake each year, leading to a great walleye population and fantastic fishing.
